Purchased as a replacement for the 12 cup coffee pot that I had for over 7 yrs and gets a good workout. Unfornately nobody had the 12 cup in stock, so we purchased the 14 cup. I was not aware of the new features like the outside water fill gauge, wich is very helpful and the "bold" button which makes the coffee stronger. Like the new layout and lighted buttons, so you can see what settings are being used

I really only use/need the basic functions of a drip coffee maker, so this one has a few extra bells and whistles more than I use, but for making a great tasting cup of coffee, keeping it hot and being easy to use, this coffeemaker is great.

This is best coffee maker brand we have ever purchased. Our previous were Mr. Coffee, Krups , Keurig etc. None last very long & were cheaply constructed. This Cuisinart is easy to program, clean & fill with water.
