...better then the handy pocket I put it in! Have a number of various Coast products, all.of which meet or eceeed qu my expectations. Almost immediately this most perfect light rose to the top.....
Great flashlight is very comfortable and the options for brightness is amazing but only 4 star because the dust cover for the charging port fell off the first day I received it and I have to clean out the charging port every time I need to charge because I work around a lot of grease, oil, and other contaminates
To be clear, I am not a fan of this form factor, but full disclosure, I am a Coast fan boy. I’ve been a Coast user for well more than 10 years and I am a flashlight fanatic. I literally collect flashlights from all brands. Back to the matter at hand. Two things, the build quality is incredible, and the fact that Coast managed to integrate their “trademark” zooming light or spot/flood lights in such a small form factor is very impressive. I cannot say that I became a fan of the “wedge” flashlights category, but compared to the Streamlight Wedge that I owned for more than a year, I will take the Slayer any time for any scenario.
This small, sleek, compact designed flashlight comes with a clip on it. Doesn't take long to charge and the light coming from it is great ! I've been been meaning to post pictures but I kept forgetting.
After having this as my EDC since Oct ‘23, I can confidently confirm the only weakness I see in this light is the pocket clip. Unfortunately the factory clip would catch on things and get bent outward quite easily. Bent it back into place each time but I feel like at this price point the belt clip shouldn’t be an issue. If it could be made just a bit more robust this light would be absolutely perfect!
Also I’m sure this was probably an afterthought when expanding on the Slayer, but I’m very jealous of the magnets on my coworkers Slayer Laser. Add some magnets to the Slayer lol because I don’t need a laser
