First one stopped charging, second one stopped working a few weeks after replacement. Second one shows it's fully charged but will not turn on unless it is plugged in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The almost perfect flashlight

The contoured design is great because it rests comfortably inside my hand. The length and other dimensions are good as well. The brightness (lumen choices) are just what I need. The only negative that I have is that the battery cannot be removed and replaced if necessary. With that said, I hope that I get many years of satisfied use.

Flashlight works great, been using it for 2 weeks and haven't had to recharge it yet. One star off for the belt clip not being reversible. Who would have thought you could find a way to screw over lefties with a flashlight, but here we are.

I love this flashlight. It’s small enough to clip in your pocket but powerful enough to light up the neighborhood. I keep it in my work truck and use it often when doing pre trips. I brag to my friends and show my coworkers and they are impressed. I highly recommend this light to everyone.

Great light, big features in a small package

I've had this for about 2 months now and have enjoyed using it. The dual beam patterns makes it really versatile for a multitude of light uses. It's small size isn't much bigger than a single bulb design and doesn't seem any noticeably heavier than my other Coast Pen lights I have and use.
Pro's:
Both a flood and spot output with multiple levels of brightness in flood mode and a "Turbo" that gives full power of both the spot and flood function at the same time for a 30 second period.

The "Beamsaver" memory mode gives you the ability to dedicate 1 power button to the beam you'd use most while the second button cycles through all modes.
Lightweight and easily carried in a shirt / pants pocket or in a bag, etc.
Rechargeable with great charge life. Not having to keep batteries on hand is great. Just periodically throw it on charge in the evening when not in use and it's always ready to go.
Ergonomic grip and feel.

This is based solely on personal preference and from the fact that I have carried a Streamlight Stinger daily in my work use for a number of years now. The tail cap power button of the stinger with the ability to use it as a momentary on by holding light pressure on the button or permanent on by clicking the button is a memory function for me at this point. I have to think about where the power buttons of the Slayer are. With normal use it would become a basic memory function for me as well, I just haven't used it enough.

Flashlight has a very sleek and compact form factor. The contour of the body of the light promotes a nice solid grip with easy button / switch activation. Multiple intensity modes is great but can also be a bit annoying if you need to cycle through from off to on to off again. The programmable button to activate your preferred intensity setting is a nice touch. The “turbo” setting does generate more heat than other Coast lights I have, just something to keep in mind while operating.
All in all, another great Coast pocket torch.
