I bought a replacement lid for my cook and carry crock-pot. When I received the lid it has a white filmy substance on the glass that's been awful trying to remove. And the lid didn't line up as well as the original which affected cooking. It would've been better to just buy a new crockpot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought my daughter one about a year ago and she just loves it! This year I bought three, one for me, and two as gifts. I haven't used mine yet since we are on Christmas Break but I am looking forward to having hot lunches at work from now on. The two people who received them as gifts were thrilled with them. They had never seen them before and were looking forward to having hot lunches as well.

I got this as a gift for x-mas and have used it a few days to bring lunch to work and I love it!!! All my co-workers have commented on it. My food is perfectly warmed and not dried out when I sit down for lunch. I love that I only have to bring the insert and lid. I leave the carry case and lid at work, plug it in when I get to work and
food is ready a few hours later. Love this! So worth having.

These little crockpots are handy and cute, but you definitely get what you pay for. They feel a little like they are cheaply made, but very functional as appetizer warmers.
