Great idea but.... Inside lid that prevents spilling and that you are instructed to leave on while heating warped after 1st use. The heat causes the lid to pop off and warp. Once warm, any liquid will easily spill out if pot is tilted. Once it is cool, the lid goes back to original shape but is no longer a tight fit and spill proof. Main outside lid is not spill proof. Maybe good for solid foods but not a good choice for soups or gravies. I bought one for myself and one for my daughter. Both have the same problem after 1st use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have only used this for 2 weeks & it is very handy. I have put leftovers in it in the morning & lunch is warmed when I am ready. Forgot to put soup in one day & within an hour it was warmed.

we were worried about the smell this would admit while cooking, but it was perfect. No smell, nice hot food. Great for leftovers. Only problem hubby has is if he has a late lunch (cause he never knows) it’s too hot. But now he knows to unplug it. Everyone at office is jealous. We got 3.

So happy that my niece recommend this to me. I hate to microwave my food, and this is the best alternative to use. I plug in once i get to work and my food is just the right temperature when I am ready for lunch. Easy to clean as well.

I bought this to heat my lunch at work. No more waiting for the microwave. Food comes out better then the microwave. Food taste almost as good as when it was first made. I hate heated up chicken, but with this crockpot lunch box you don’t get the weird taste like you do when heating chicken other ways.
