This is HUGE I use it for my macaw. It's pretty sturdy, BUT... it's NOT easy to put together. The instructions were badly translated. I'll also add... the place for you to hang a toy... is literally right above one of the food/water cups. That annoyed my bird to no end. It's managed to keep most of her mess in one spot, sadly... she's figured out how to poop on the floor by standing on the corner of the ladder... she's also figured out how to climb down off the thing... darn lol
I really loved this cage and was super excited for it. It really is a really good deal. Theres two issues I had. First, I went to addemple and there was a hole that wasn't completely removed, but punctured for a screw to gonin, but was blocked from the metal hole not being removed completely. Luckily, there were 4 holes for the ladder and it was still super sturdy with just 3 screws in it. The second issue was that it rocks back and forth from the wheels not being the right height. Im not sure what on earth could cause it to be uneven when I tightened all the wheels on as tight as they could go, but its wobly. I don't think this will be much on an issue per say, but it does worry me that it will startle my bird if it rocks from her weight and she could fall. If I had a macaw it would definitely rock from their body weight. Overall, if those two issues would be fixed I would give this a 5 star rating. It really is an amazing deal for the price without a doubt and is large and very sturdy overall with the exception of the wheels not being level and balancing out.
Clarence took to this perch right away. It can roll through doorways easily, which is awesome because we use it upstairs. We move it between our bedroom, our bathroom, and my husband's office. The best thing is how easy it is to clean. We are very happy with this product. Assembly was tricky bc the instructions are worthless. My husband figured it out though, without too much trouble.
My biggest complaint is that the ring to hang toys from is directly over one of the bowls so it's unusable since the birds won't duck under their toys to eat. Second is all of the little cracks and crevices that make it semi-difficult to clean completely. I bought this for my Congo African Grey and she loved to hang out on the very top. I wrapped the bars with coban to make them easier for her to grip. A few months after we lost her to egg binding I got a yellow-naped Amazon who is very large (not fat just big) for his breed. He too enjoys this stand and spends most of the day on it although he hangs out on the perch rather than the top. It is convenient for giving him a mist bath and dries quickly, all except the bottom tray that I use a towel to dry. It rolls smoothly and makes it easy to keep him whichever room of the house I'm in.
