Awesome!!!

The experience was fabulous... so easy. The coop arrived within days... in great condition. It was easy to assemble and really looks great. I'm going to add an extra latch because the top wire part is hinged and it makes a great entry point for cleaning. I'm also going to add a strap to secure the roof because we get some serious wind here... but those are simple modifications to a great product. And the purchasing part of the experience I've already recommended to friends...love it!

All around good experience

I rarely right a review, but must say this company is deserving of praise based on my recent purchase of a animal coop. The shipment arrived in good conditio, well packed, and three days early! The coop is wonderful, exactly as advertised on the site, and was at least on par with my highest expectations! It's well made, and was easy to assemble... Took me an hour doing it myself. I live in upper bucks county on a rural property, so I doubled up the fencing and beefed-up the hardware to add protection from predators, and added insulation board covered by floor tiles to prevent the critters from eating it. We have a bunny in it now, and are adding a rooster soon. I definitely recomend this coop as a good value for the dollar, and would only caution that it's not really constructed of heavy-duty materials, so keep that in mind depending on the application. I'd buy another one tomorrow, and I'd get it from Frugah!

Great Transitional Coop

I got this coop to house a new set of chickens (3) before integrating them with my existing flock. I also plan to use it any time I need to isolate a chicken due to illness, etc. You cannot beat the price, and the various access points are great. I recommend adding more secure hardware, because it will not keep out ALL critters especially if you live in the country (we just added a few hasps with carabiners). This unit should be used in a garage or other protected area because there is no floor (easy to dig into), but that's exactly what we needed. We were short on time and this easy-to-assemble unit fit the bill perfectly. It's also cute to boot!

Easy to build together for this 71 year old! 3 hours and all by myself.

Even though the directions are very lacking the coop was really easy to build. Made a couple of modifications like extra latches, painted for durability and a rubber sheeting over the nesting box for extra rain protection. Also built it on chicken wire so pesky critters can't come up from underneath and chicken can't scratch big holes. Worth the price and the little additions. My hens are happy too!!

Needs significant reinforcement

Think of this as a great start to your coop but you will need to do a fair amount of work to reinforce. We added hardware cloth to all sides and built a base with hardware cloth buried underneath. Also added locks to all doors and reinforced nesting box specifically. Haven't left our girls out in it overnight but they are happy in the day. And I feel that they are safe from raccoons, our Jack Russells and neighborhood cats.

Was easy to put together and was what we expected. We did take one of the locks and place it on the top where it does not latch incase we had an intruder.
