This is one of the most reliable inverters that I have ever used it works great our company has 6 of these and have had no problems with them. I used it when we went on a trip to Florida and my son had his laptop on the whole time. Great product.
I purchased a similarly priced invertor, from an inferior manufacturer, and it was absolute garbage. After returning that item, and doing more research, I picked up this TrippLite unit a few days later and it hasn't let me down. The build quality is precise and the craftsmanship leaves nothing to be desired. The entire unit is sturdy, made of high-grade materials, and even looks good to boot. It powers a couple laptops without hesitation, along with a switch. No complaints here! Keep up the good work TrippLite!
We have used this only a handful of times and are not hard on it. Never been dropped or damaged however it hasn't held up well. As listed above
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This inverter is great to keep all of your small electronics fully charged. From ipads, ipods, laptops, extra cell phones, work equipment etc. It has been a life saver for me in so many cases.
I rent trucks a lot from Penske, Budget, and others for my work and I always bring the PV375 with me. Perfect! I plug it in to the cigarette lighter socket and from there I can power the portable sound system (essential for long-distance driving), and recharge my cell phone and laptop. The best part is that instead of spending on a separate car adapter for all of that gear, I can just use the standard AC cords that come with those devices and plug right in to the PV375. Some have complained about the fan noise but it doesn't bother me (especially in a big truck!) For my personal car I own a DIFFERENT TrippLite power inventer with is bolted to the floor and hard wired to the car battery. Love that one too; just cuts down on the cables a bit by having it permanently installed.
The PV375 PowerVerter is not the quality I expected from Tripp-Lite, the 12 volt plug in does not make a very good connection and the fan is very noisy. It whines like a turbine engine.
