So I'm on my 2nd one of these heaters. Heating wise, they work great, but both have had the thermostats fail and the built in shut off failed as well. The first time this happened the temperature in my garage reached 127 degrees. The second time, this morning, the temperature reached 111 degrees. The 2nd unit was a replacement and I assumed the first issue was a fluke and I was lucky that my garage was still standing. There is nothing like walking into a room that is 127 degrees. The company doesn't seem to be overly concerned, but this should concern anyone that doesn't want a fire to occur. The first unit was inside of 2 years old and the the 2nd just inside of 4 years. The end result is that products can wear out, but the safety features should not fail as these have. Notice the high temp on the attached photo.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had a NewAir G73 heater installed in my shop. My shop is 27' x 32'. I has two garage doors and an entry door. The shop has two insulated windows and is insulated. When I turned the heater on, the outside temperature was 44 degrees. and the inside temperature was 47 degrees. I set the thermostat to maximum. It took 1 hour and 40 minutes for the inside temperature to get to 60 degrees. I then lowered the thermostat until the unit shut off. The heater came back on when the inside temperature was 59 degrees. .
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have an insulated garage that I've heated the past few years with a portable propane heater. It seems that I'm often running out and filling the 20lb tank. This winter, I switched over to the NewAir G73 Electric Garage Heater, which is working out great for me. It heats my 2 car garage just fine. I hired an electrician to run the 220, so other than that, setup was a breeze. I recommend this heater for anyone looking to heat their garage!
