This is a reliable product that is used often in my office. Formatting the labels is easy and the labels hold up well on file folders.
Pros: Strong Adhesive, Doesn't Fade, Good Value
Cons: Can't Reuse Folders, Tough To Change In and Out

Easy to print on but won't stay on my files. At first I thought maybe it was the heat from the printer but that doesn't make sense because these are created to go through a printer. I have had to resort to using double-sided tape to keep labels on my file folders. The extra work to use these labels makes me unwilling to recommend or repurchase the Avery brand again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

File labels that don't stick

I have been using Avery file folder labels for years and never had issues until this year. I have found that the file folder labels I used, the 5360, do not stick to the Pendaflex Manila Folders, but they do stick to Pendaflex & Smead COLORED folders.
For Manila Folders, I have had to switch to the TrueBlock/Permanent Adhesive Labels and I have not had any issues with those...yet. I hope that this might help address issues with your standard file folder labels.

Ink fades or scrapes off almost immediately

I've been using the 5366 labels for almost 20 years. My new pack is the laser/inkjet trueblock labels. I know others have had problems with the labels sticking. Mine stick well but the ink fades/flakes/scrapes off almost immediately. I don't know whether this is because of the trueblock coating or because they are inkjet/laser rather than just laser. But they are really not good labels.

AVERY LABEL PACKET SIZE

I HAVE BEEN USING AVERY LABEL FOR YEARS AND VERY SATISFIED. HOWEVER, THE PACKETS MEASURE 11 7/8" AND MY STANDARD FILE DRAWER MEASURES 11 ¾ WHICH MAKES IT A TIGHT FIT FOR IN AND OUT FILING. SUGGEST TAKING ¼" OFF THE BOTTOM OF THE PACKETS. I HAVE CUT OFF THE BOTTOM OF MY 10 PACKETS AND IT WORKS FINE FOR ME BUT IT TAKE TIME.
