I loved the Crosshair III Formula with the Phenom II X4 955 BEand Corsair AMD BE RAM that would fire up right now if I dusted it off. I loved the m5a99fx pro with FX 8350 black edition CPU that I still use.
This board is shaping up to be a nostalgia maker just as the other quality Asus products I've had the pleasure of experiencing.
It has all the signs of a long-life board and the power, throughput and tech to give it legs that should carry a new, casual or experienced PC builder a long way into many new PC customization, gaming and tuning experiences. And it will do it with style and bright flashing lights, should you choose.
I can't think of a more expensive board by another manufacturer that I would rather have. I just can't wait to throw a 5000 series CPU in the socket and burn some midnight oil.

This is a great mobo just chocked full of features. For looks it's beautiful and checks all the right boxes for what you want in a board. The only issue I have with this board is the m.2 spots don't take larger drives with heat sinks.
