The size is ok if you have a bigger countertop. It definitely takes longer than 8 minutes to make ice! Yes, it starts making ice in 8 minutes, but it will take a while to have enough for a glass.
It’s very silent. Plus got that!

Brand new ice maker. Just waiting for it to make ice for the first time.
Strong plastic smell when u open the lid. I’m thinking that is because it’s new and hoping it goes away.
