Doesn't work with recommended juice

Doesn't work with the recommended jolly rancher slushy machine juice. This is my 3rd one, it only works with soda and I don't want a soda slushy. I wanted it for a party and now i have nothing. Very disappointed. I even googled suggestions on how to get it to work
