Some of the screws are a little raw and can leave metal shavings in your fingers, the back boards for the taller side don't fit perfectly, leaving me to slightly over lap them in the middle. Once put together it is sturdy and the shelving is tall enough for most book sizes.

Perfect, cute little desk

I needed a small desk that would match some bookshelves already in the room and this is exactly what I needed. It came solidly packaged without any damage. I put this together by myself (a little old crippled lady) in about 2 hours, easy. This isn't a high quality piece of furniture, but I didn't expect it to be. It is solid, attractive and kind of cute too. Perfect for a small space that you want to look chic.

Concerns about longevity, but great starting out

I was able to put this together without any help. I bought two, and each only took about 45 minutes to assemble. The pieces were well identified, and they had extras of all the hardware except screws. The boxes got pretty banged up during shipping, but they were well packaged inside and had not one scratch. My only concern is that where the desktop inserts into the taller book shelf it is only held in place with two screws on either side. It doesn't rest on anything for added support. I think if you were to put too much weight on it when getting up from the desk for instance, it stands a decent chance of coming apart around those screws. Also, if you moved it from place to place too much, I would anticipate it falling apart there as well, from the stress on that section of particle board. I don't plan to move mine, and I don't lean on it when I use it, so I think it will be fine.

Alright desk. Cheap screws

This desk is great if you don't have much room. Other then that is an ok desk. Probably last a year or two until the cheap screws it comes with give out. If you considering getting this desk I recommend going to your hardware store and getting better quality screws. It will help make it sturdier and it will last you longer. But the desk overall is alright, not great but not terrible.
