4300 will not power on

I bought the most expensive Dremel kit several years ago. I used it a couple of times for no more than a total of 15 minutes. Last week, I got it out to try and get some paint off a small metal handle. I used it another 15 minutes. After getting set up today NO POWER. The dremel had been stored inside. Apparently, this happens a lot. Unfortunately, warranty is not valid at this point. I am out a 4300 dremel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first Dremel a few months ago. Even though I had no experience creating Gemstone jewelry/gifts, such as rough rose quartz, tourmaline, etc. I used the Dremel to cut the gemstones, shape them into beads & hearts, drill .8mm holes and to sand/polish the stones. These are all for personal use and gifts for family and friends. Now my Dremel is follow the same process but with Petrified wood. I a, using it much in the same way. The Dremel is a work horse, easy to use and I feel very safe when using it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dremel 4300

I bought this a couple months ago for use in my mechanical engineering senior design project.The final term of my project was canceled due to COVID-19 so I used this tool about 3 times for a total of about 10 minutes on soft 3D printed material. Yesterday, I decided to use it to sand the edge of a glass bottle and the thing broke after 30 minutes of use on low rpm, using it in about 1-2 minute cycles. Ridiculous and disappointing.
I was a huge fan of the Dremel brand, my father used exclusively Dremel tools when we would make pinewood derby cars when I was a child. But now that I purchased my own, and it broke with such gentle and careful use, I’m not sure about the quality of their products. Especially because this one of their best models. Based on what I’ve read from other people, this isn’t a fluke. I wish I had read more about this Dremel before I decided to spend a large chunk of my budget on a poorly made tool. I don’t recommend this product, it is not reliable.
Now I’m going to have to figure out if I can activate my warranty. When I first purchased this item I was so confident in the product that I felt the warranty was useless, but that was stupid. I never would have guessed this thing would have broken so quickly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

good overall

Overall it is fine. I really liked the adjustable chuck, until it broke. The replacement cost was reasonable, so I replaced it. Then the lamp switch broke. It felt poorly made, and the replacement cost for the lamp assembly is too expensive. I liked the magnetic powered lamp on my old dremel better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst tool I have

I asked for a Dremel and was given this as a gift. Perhaps a different model would have worked, but it’s nearly impossible to even make it through the directions. I’ve tried just figuring it out on my own (not the safest option), but even with that, no success. It also fails to stay on, so I suspect a malfunction. Unfortunately, as it’s a gift, I’m not going to be able to return it. I’m sure it cost way more than I would have spent, and it’s soon going to be in the trash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a couple months ago. Trying my hand at rock polishing and cutting ! For starting at the beginning ..it works awesome ! Im able to go from edge cutting shaping and polishing with all the accessories.

Great For Wood Carving

I use this dremel to detail chainsaw carvings; carving the eyes, noses, etc. It works great, I even take it to festivals when I do live carving demos as Markey & Son Woodcraft and Carving
