Not enough instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the idea of this product. I made curry today and was very excited to save leftovers. However after reading the minimal instructions, I was disappointed to find out that all soups and soft foods need to be frozen first. I wanted to preamble meals for the week. I don’t have enough room in my freezer to freeze everything first. Bummer.

All ziplock plastic bags are damaged. Air is coming back inside of the vacuum bag for some reason. Some of the ziplock area pealed off so even if you zipped, all air won't come out. No need to waste you money.

So Convenient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We started with the glass starter set and loved it but the glass, although great for baking and such, is rather cumbersome for general use. Along came the lighter plastic version. SO convenient!! And the bags worked well for sous vide. Time will tell whether it lasts from continued use!

Solid engineering, better than competition, pricey

Valve and design and reliability of seal are great, could be thicker gauge. Each package of (expensive) bags includes a crimper tool and a clever device to make sealing bags with liquids less problematic than other brands. In general a better implementation than most, and the large size bags are large enough for a lasagna pan to fit. Over all the cost is the only real limiting factor, though they are said to be dishwasher safe. By the way, the somewhat less costly (and less well made, with worse seals) FreshSaver bags all work fine with the Zwinning pump, better in fact than with a FreshSaver device.
