Others' 13 columnar pads had sheets that would not tear from pad nor would the window box tear cleanly. Staples pad is sturdy erases well and all tear strips are easy and do not leave ragged ends.

I had been using a name brand of this pad for years and just decided to try switching to the Staples brand. I don't know why I didn't switch much earlier because the Staples pad is every bit as good and actually cost me less. If I could make one improvement on these pads it would be to have many more holes down the side so that I might use it with the special binder I have but the name brand doesn't have those either. The only time I had that was when I first bought the binder from a company who also supplied my first pad and they were very expensive.

I purchased the 13 Column Book to help sort out my family budget. I like having 13 columns because in ones budget there is a lot to sort out. The layout worked well for me and the sturdy paper was a bonus. I would buy this Columnar Book again because I was very pleased with the quality and usability.
