It is flexible yet sturdy. Like that it can hang vertically or horizontally but if horizontal the opening is not held shut. Only had it in use a couple weeks so can’t say how long the clear ID cover will remain clear v cloud up so the bar code cannot be read. But so far it’s great. No sharp edges to snag clothing like rigid plastic covers.

I wish it wasn't so thick but I needed something in a hurry I would have preferred something thin and clear on both sides but everything like that was too large and not the size of my Medicare card which is just slightly smaller than a credit card and very thin cardboard but it serves the purpose of protecting it from damage Thank You
