8960 labels need more work

While the tabs on these labels facilitate use with the applicator, the labels themselves jam in a printer where the paper follows a curved feed path, i.e.most compact consumer level inkjet printers. Fortunately I have an Epson Stylus Photo which enabled me to get through my first job with the 8960 labels, a product I'll not buy again.
Pros: Easy To Separate, Strong Adhesive
Cons: Printer Incompatibily

Very user friendly. I like things crisp and clean. Don't put too much verbal on the disk label. I am going to play with the program and jazz it up with colors and logos.

Out of all the different CD/DVD labels I have tried, I was most disappointed with Avery. Usually all of their products blow the other ones out of the water....Avery is usually the best of the best! This time, not so much. I find the labels to be very thin and flimsy and hard to remove from the backing without tearing the labels.

Difficult to Use

Bought these recently and was very disappointed with them. There are tabs on both sides of the label that are supposed to tear off after the label has been placed. The tabs do not tear off evenly. They either leave a ridge that must be trimmed with a razor or they tear onto the surface of the label in an unsightly manner. Lots of excellent Avery products, but this particular model is the worst I have ever used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I get a kick out of creating my own CD/DVD labels. I'm able to brand them the way I like and even color code for various projects to help me quickly find what I need. They are so easy to use and with the Avery Design Pro software, I create templates that are easy to update with new info.
