I typically use the item for 2 to 5 pages at a time. There is a guide edge on one side, allowing holes to be consistent. I am happy with how it functions. If pages are bent, it can be a little more difficult to insert them into the hole punch, but for my purposes it works well.

Lacks Product Documentation and Quality

Convenience cost effective and dependability were key factors in choosing a hole punch because of professional and personal organization needs of paper organization. The Staples instore salesperson recommended this punch and it was an anticpated good fit for my needs. For $10 I thought I was set. It seems this basic tool should come with some basic instructions. It did not. For example how do you adjust the hole spacing? I still don't know. No product usage explanations. I tried to practice some hole punching and some plastic part broke off and have no idea on why. I'll be taking the punch back for an exchange or refund.

All Good One Glitch For Me

The stapler works well except for one “design flaw”. The hole punch units are slightly raised above the body of the stapler and when you slide papers in the bottom paper(s) will catch on the units. Other than that it is a good stapler.

Punchy

This hole puncher is a little sticky on the return (after being depressed it doesn't easily return to its original position). Also 10 sheets do not comfortably fit. It's a good product....for the price. I do like its slim design (no big handle or base that is too wide) and the fact that the removable base stays put during use. I have experienced other hole punchers that slide out of their bases leading to strangely positioned holes. This one always has a consistent puncture position though putting the pages far enough in is sometimes tricky. Again it seems a bit narrow for the proposed 10 page capacity.
