Really good paper for a generic brand
on November 12, 2014

I've tended to stay away from generic brand paper as I've found that they tend to have more paper jams. I tried this product as pat of a rebate offer. I have been pleasantly surpised with the quailty. No paper jams and the brigtness/weight of the paper has been fine for general printing (school work and home office documents). I am likely to buy this paper again.

Colorfast and doesn't get stuck in the printer often. Wish it were more light fast.

TROUBLE WITH STAPLES COLOR LASER AND COP
on October 29, 2014

This request for a review came at and ironic time. I have just completed printing 350 copies of a monthly newsletter on the Staples Color Laser and Copier Paper 8 1/2 x 11. In the folding process I discovered that the weight of the paper in the ream was not consistent! This could be a major problem because the newsletter is bulk mailed through the U. S. Postal Service using a mailing house for labeling and mailing. When I delivered the newsletter to the mail house they "micro-ed" the paper and found two different weights (thickness). Thankfully the lesser weight paper would feed through the labeling machine and barely met the minimum requirements of the post office. It could have meant completely re-printing the newsletter. I don't know what Staples can do about the quality of the reams but I will have to purchase a different brand next month.

Great paper...compare to Hammermill?
on October 23, 2014

This paper is great! Since I purchased Hammermill as well (store didn't carry enough Staples brand) I was able to compare them. Want to know what's weird?? Both had the same brightness rating but Staples paper was a much brighter white than the Hammermill! I personally like the brightness of Staples paper better. However when looking for a premium smooth almost glossy finish Staples paper seemed OK till I felt Hammermill's. The Hammermill paper felt so much smoother and softer than they would just slip and slide through my hands! So for a nicer feeling finish I would recommend Hammermill. Both are great papers and I can't quite decide which I prefer overall. Hope this helps you decide!

Color Laser and Copier Paper

Nice paper I use this paper for everything. Everyone comments on how nice this paper is rather than the CHEAP STUFF they use. Yeah it may be a few pennies more than that CHEAP stuff.....but it's much more worth it. Next time you are in the store check out this paper and the price 500 sheets. The paper is bright and 4 times thicker than the cheap paper you are using and as you can see not 4 times the price. I also use with both my color laser and ink jet printer. The paper is also acid free so the results will last a long time. Try it you might not go back.

Staples Color Laser and Copier Paper
on September 25, 2014

This paper feels expensive because of it thickness but it is not expensive at all. Whenever I turn a project in using this paper everyone remarks about how nice the paper feels. It is hard to get excited about white paper but this stuff is wonderful. I hate thin cheap feeling paper and this particular paper is the answer to all my problems. Ask them in the store if you can feel a piece of it to compare to the thin junky paper that most people opt for probably because they are not aware that this product exists!

Heavy quality paper for color presentations made my bound handouts appear to have been professionally prepared.
