Though only marginally heavier than 28lb stock it has a more substantial feel. Takes ink jet printing well and has a bright and shiny surface.

The slightly thicker sightly glossier extra bright paper is great for full color flyers!

Staples Brand saves $$$

There are comparable papers available from name brand companies but my experience has been that the Staples brand papers are every bit as good as the name brands. Generally what happens with store brand products is tdifferent companies contract with a paper manufacturer to put a different labels on the same product. The thing that makes a difference is the brightness and weight of the paper not the brand. I purchase generic 20 lb paper for most purposes and opt for a brighter heavier stock (24 28 or even 32 lb) for the copies I want to "shine."
I needed craft paper that was thinner than card stock but thicker than computer paper. The clerk guided me to the 32 lb white which works fine Just wish I could have bought a smaller amount than 500 sheets.
