Most of Staples products are equivalent to "name brands" and they are less expensive. I find that for heavy duty very reliable items I usually fall back on the name brand. i.e. post it notes now the packing tape pens that will last and not smear
I have purchased this tape in the past and have been extremely happy with the quality and the price of this product. It provides good strength for shipping and mailing. I can also use it for everyday projects I have going at the time. It is good for creating a waterproof seal on paper when the edges are overlapped to create a mailing label or to protect whatever you are working with. I have used it to make a sign more sturdy that is then taped onto a plastic container to create a tip jar for my favorite local live band. They appreciate the longevity the tape has provided to their tip jar.
Good price for the amount of rolls but it seems to be pretty flimsy. If I was going to use it for moving boxes more than one layer is necessary. If taping boxes to mail I would also use more than one layer to make sure it is enough to hold everything inside. But overall it seems like it will do the job and can be repositioned without ripping whatever you are taping to apart this could be viewed as a pro or con. It beats the competitors price per roll enough to make up for the extra layers that will be required.
this is a product that serves its function well.easy to use and the roll seem to last forever.i have been using this tape product for over twelve yaers and find it to be a bargain for the average small business to incur.i have told all of my small business friends to use this tape and they all it agree that the for the cost per roll of this brand of packing tape and the right width that it has there can be no reason not to use the staples packing tape to ship all of your packages both smaal and large using this tape
This tape is too thin and when used in a dispenser it is very difficult to use. It tangles easily and because it is so thin it flips back and sticks to itself.
