I have used this product for years. My only problem with the product is that there are too few pages. I would prefer to have a ledger of around 300 pages rather than the current 150. I run a small business and fill the book up fairly quickly. Consequently I have many filled ledgers to contend with and have to file them which takes up valuable space.

An old fashion ledger book!

The treasurer for our club is not a computer user and requested a hard bound single entry ledger book to keep track of our income & expenses. Thank heavens the clerk at our local Staples found this one hiding on the shelf! It was just want she wanted.

Gets the job done wish cover was nicer

This is my first ledger book for a new business venture. It gets the job done but I wish the cover was made from a tricker material that didn't scratch so easily. They had about 5 on the shelf at my local Staples and I took the nciest one but still if you are buying something new for $30 it shouldn't be scratched up right? Also the big sale sticker on the front was a pain to peel off and also added to the scratches. Why can't staples invest in better labels? They sell the peelable labels!

Black Leger Book - Efficiency

The Black Leger Book has an astronomical amount of possibilities. This particular book will be used to Log all people who enter the Sleep Center. The log will be a wealth of information starting from the date of the test type of test Person who ordered it diagnosis codes pre and post evaluations pressure levels needed for each individual homecare company used final archival numbers and last but not least who was the person referred to at the end of the testing. This one log book can hold information on thousands who enter our doors yet keep the information private. the book is easily stored in a safe or locked cabinet to protect privacy. This is one for the books.

A very useful ledger book.

We are a small business and have computer systems but some things we still like to do the old school way. Using these ledger books to help track jobs is one of them. They are becoming more & more difficult to find so thank you Staples for continuing to do so.

Basic Accounting

I have been using the Staples 11-3/4" by 7-1/4 " Black Ledger Books for several years for my basic accounting needs. I like the alphabet tabs in the front because it permits me to place information of those with whom I have had the opportunity of some type of financial dealings or transactions with. I set up the columns the same as I would for a checkbook ledger with date & check number type of transaction then my +/- section amount and then the on going balance. I also use this type of ledger for keeping track of the deposits into my savings account. Yes it is large but it will last for years. So for me it is will worth the price.
