We used these labels to place a message on a postcard! The staples labels were actually a better quality than the leading brand ones we already had in our supply stock. It could have been they were the older version. But the staples ones were awesome and did the job. We mailed out 475 postcards to our military group members. USS Boston Shipmates INC thank you

These used to be great. What happened?

I use this product as follows: I pre-print our company logo on 300 labels at a time and then use those to make address labels for envelopes containing confidential business documents that I would send to clients. These labels used to be perfect for that purpose. They were bright white in color and looked very clean and professional on my 6"x9" and 9"x12" business envelopes. I was actually proud of how impressive they looked. That all changed without warning or notice from Staples. In January 2019 I ordered two of the 250-sheet boxes which is the size I had ordered numerous times before. The new labels are hideously different than the previous ones. The new labels are not white--let alone bright white--but instead have this grayish-blue tinge to them that just looks gross. The gruesome tint is caused by an opaque gray adhesive on the back of the labels that has replaced its clear predecessor. Although the box makes no mention of any difference in formulation or appearance of these "new lots " I believe this change was intentional because I noticed certain boxes of Avery labels were promoting this "feature" as advantageous because it allows you to cover up previous labels that are left on a package. Yep it definitely does that. But what about those customers who don't use these labels to cover up old labels? You know customers who actually want a clean white professional looking address label for mailing important documents to their clients? Does Staples think blue-gray is the new white? I am very disappointed in the unannounced change to the formulation of this product. Like I needed another reason to shop elsewhere.
