I was really amazed how much of a difference a good air filter will make as far as how good your furnace will run. My furnace atually mal-functioned as far as it wouldn't ignite the burners from what I assume was a clogged filter. A mistake on my part as I couldn't believe how much this filter actually caught and how quick it took. We do have a few cats and I assume between the litter dust and the cat hair the filter was a mess when I took it out. In just 3 months it seemed to be enough to cause this problem! It's amazing how much of a difference such a relatively inexpensive item can change the furnace's efficiency if not its function altogether!

Awesome Filters!

In Florida in March the pollen levels are extreme. Everyone in my house suffers from allergies this time of year. These filters are awesome, they catch virtually everything. Filtrete is the only brand I will ever buy!

Filter Sizes

I have been using 3-M filters in my three (3) air handlers for about 8 years and find them very satisfactory. I recently replaced one of the air handlers and find that 3-M does not make the size for this unit (20 X 22), forcing me to cut a 20 X 24 down to fit. A pain in the neck (or some place else)!

Effectiveness

We have two filters in our heating system. We use a microfilter from Filtrete. After months of use the second filter in the system shows no collection of any particles it looks just like new, which shows how effective the microfilters are.

frame too weak

I've tried the high grade Filtretes only to get disappointed...when I open up furnace i find the filter is blown out of furnace frame bracket that suppose to hold it in place...the carboard framing of the filter is too weak and buckles up when blower is on and eventually blows filter out of frame...I now use a filter with a rigid plastic frame that is cleanable monthly...what good is a good filtration system if cardboard frame is made CHEAP !!!
