I used the blue book for 3 continuous years to keep all my banking records and charity donations. It helped make tax time easy as everything was in one place.I bought a new one to start this year.

I bought this to help my husband and I stay on top of the finances. This was just perfect for household use and to keep track of personal expenses.

This three columnar bound book is perfect for keeping a business checkbook in balance. I currently am employed as a bookkeeper for two businesses that prefer keeping their checking account records using this three columnar bound book and I have been using these books for over ten years.

geting harder and harder to find ....

I've used the three column account book for 50 years now ... it turns out to be the perfect way for me at least to keep track of various financial activities. The first thing to do is number the pages ... in the old days many of such books came with the pages already numbered. Next decide which accounts are to start on which page and how many pages to allocate for each. This changes with time - in years past I used to allocate 8 pages for a particular checking account but now with the gradual disappearance of checks (what's that? some say) only 4 are needed. And then construct a table of contents on the first two or three pages so it's easy to find a particular account without a lot of flipping around. Write in the account particulars: Names numbers 'phones addresses. And one ends up with a one stop shop for keeping accounts. I've used the Staples version of this account book for several years now. The main annoyance has been that the pages seemed to be glue bound rather than sewn in so that lying an open book flat or writing in the rightmost column of the lefthand page was sometimes a bit of a struggle. I was pleased to see that this version appears to have a stitched and glue binding ...not quite as good as the old sewn bindings but still pretty good . Anyway I'm happy the book feels good the paper seems to take ink just fine and ...all set to go for next year.
i use this as a ledger when i repair someone's clock my ledger goes back 20 years that way i can look up customers names dates what i did to their clock !
