THE STINKIEST TAPE.

This is the worst tape I have ever ordered. I would return it but I already opened the package and I was greeted with a wave of the most putrid odor. I have to stuff all the rolls in three bags and shove it in my closet to PARTIALLY alleviate the smell. But the smell does not go away. It now lives in my home. The only benefit is that it IS sticky but its at the cost of making all of my packages smell like the inside of a dog.

STAPLES IT SEEMS HAS DISCONTINUED SELLING THE THIN STRONG TRANSPARENT 3-INCH WIDE TAPE. I BOUGHT THE HAND DISPENSER BUT HAVE TO GO TO "ULINE" FOR THE DESK DISPENSER.

Wide Clear Tape

I use it for a few different purposes the first obvioulsy for sealing packages via USPS. Other packing tape is thin flimsy and not sticky enough. I was introduced to this tape by a Librarian when it was called "Book Tape". I use it for business personal and teaching purposes. I use it to laminate small objects (handmade bookmarks business cards etc.). It's a thick crystal clear tape that's durable unlike packing tape which can be hazy. I love that it is wide 3" because it fits most arts and crafts projects. I use it when I teach duct tape art projects because its quality can handle the different purposes the students ask of it and is on the same level as duct tape. One roll lasts a long time about a year so I wish it was sold in smaller quantities.

I'm sure this tape is strong and long lasting but I didn't measure how wide "extra wide" was with my current tape gun. That is the only reason I returned it. In retrospect I don't see the need for "extra wide"--a thicker mil should do the trick when you tape your box correctly.
