Middle Hole Frequently doesn't punch

I'm disappointed in this 3 hole punch - the middle hole frequently does not get fully punched. I considered taking it back. With the right technique of punching hard over the middle punch head it usually works.

I was very disappointed with the quality of this item. I had to return it because the plastic bottom was cracked in 2 places.
