There was something wrong with this hole puncher. The paper had to be inserted exactly right or the center hole wouldn't punch. Sometimes the paper won't go in all the way and the holes come out in the wrong positions. I should have returned it but I didn't.
I've recently become volunteer board secretary of a non-profit and need to keep all the records in order. With doing everything virtually I needed a way to punch holes in the printouts. (I do have electronic records but like to keep hard copies just in case.) This is the second hole-punch I tried. The first with a larger capacity was defective -- couldn't insert the paper because the punch poles would not retract. I took it back to Staples and they were nice to trade it in on this one which works perfectly.
The new 3-hole punch has a better touch. However the 3-hole often becomes a 2-hole when the middle is not punched through. I haven't yet figured how to adjust it to work better but I'm sure I'll resolve it soon. This item looks a lot better than the very-old one I've been using
