I had only "light duty" personal needs for a three-hole punch and opted for the least expensive one available expecting it to be of marginal quality and of largely plastic construction. I was very pleasantly surprised by the heft of the box when I took it off the shelf in the store and by the rock-solid construction when I actually got it home and examined it.
