Unacceptable

Bought in conjunction with a Scotch 3M tape dispenser (red metal and plastic gun type dispenser with foam covered handle). The combination was useless. Tape didn’t adhere very well, then tape could not be cut by the blade. The tape would not cut even when I tried to stretch against the fully deployed blade. Thus, poor tape adherence and then failure to cut resulted in a lot of tape everywhere except where needed. Disappointing.

Terrible Dispenser and Tape which Splits

Tape continually falls back on the roll. Hard to find the edge to unpeel. And hard to get the tape unstuck from roll without it splintering into ribbons. Wastes my time, wastes tape and creates frustration each and every time. Seems like Scotch packaging and engineering staff should have addressed these shortcomings years ago.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Packaging Tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since you have come out with the "easier" to handle packaging tape dispenser- no longer am I messing the tape all up with my attempt to put it on a package. For years and years I always hated having to get the "tape gun" as we all called it because even when it ran out we all dreaded having to remember the flow of how the tape was threaded to come out on the other end correctly. Maybe I am in the minority with the previous hassle of packaging tape but I don't think so. This has been like a miracle in our office.

Worst tape I've ever used

This tape is terrible! Sadly I bought 2 6 packs and we are in the middle of moving. I'm not going to go out and buy more tape so this is what I'm stuck with. First I'm constantly losing the end, when I find it and start to pull up 70% of the time it will split into at least 2 pieces. At one time I had it split 4 different ways. I've had a few times where it splits and I think I've got it back to one piece but then a giant triangular piece pulls off unexpectedly and I'm back to trying to find the end. It also doesnt hold well at all. I couldn't imagine using this to send packages in the mail. They would definitely open. Luckily we are just moving so the boxes will be up right at all times. Hopefully the bottoms stay sealed. All the tops are slowly coming undone though, so that's fun. Heavy duty isnt the right name for this tape. Waste of time and annoying would be words I would use instead

Frustrating!!

1. We sealed the bottom of the boxes and then packed. The boxes remained in the AC but when we went to move the boxes they had to be re-taped. Had to use twice as much tape. Was it designed so that consumers had to buy more?
2. The tape kept getting stuck to the roll instead of staying up in the prongs. You then had to spend 5 minutes trying to get a clean thread once you got all of the little Strands to peel in synch.

We have moved a lot! I always use this tape , but looking for new brands!!!

worse tape ever

I have been in the packing business most of my life, and this tape is the worst tape I have ever used. I pack a box and 10 minutes later ALL your tape has pulled away from the box. What over priced crud. Nothing like doing twice the work when you already have enough to do when packing a house. Don't waste your $ on this stuff!

Will not stick to cardboard

I have used it to tape up packages and it comes undone in transit and my items arrived broken
