I have a roll of Scotch heavy duty packaging tape. It is totally useless to me--it doesn't have any stickiness to it. I am very disappointed, not to mention being poorer for buying it. I have had it long enough that I don't have a receipt for it nor do I remember where I bought it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad Design

I buy t his all the time to seal my packages. I don't know how many times the tape keeps tearing and I can't use it. I spent an hour this morning trying to get one started and it kept tearing in pieces. This happens all the time and I have to throw it away. This is the second one this month.

Packaging Tape ripped in my hand!

I have purchased Scotch brand heavy duty tape for years to ship packages to my family. I purchased a 38.2 yd heavy duty 20x stronger roll again today but unfortunately, while wrapping the large package, the tape ripped in my hands a number of times. Totally disappointed and surprised. I hope it is just a bad batch.

Having trouble

I am an elementary teacher and use this tape for many many things in the classroom. One of the biggest uses is to tape name plates on student desks. I have never had any trouble until this year. The tape will not stay down on the desks. I bought a multi pack of tape and have tried all the rolls. I have wiped the tables with water, then the school's cleaner and then Clorox wipes. The tape comes up after each cleaning. Help! What do I need to do?

Easy to Use - with so many Uses!

I go through a lot of packaging tape and I can't afford to waste time with the type of tape that refuses to become unstuck from itself. This Scotch Heavy Duty tape with the dispenser is a dream of ease and efficiency. Thanks, 3M!

The best! There is no other shipping tape to use!

I have been shipping items for many years and after the fiasco I had today with an off brand , I will never ever use anything else but Scotch brand. I usually have a rolls on hand but fell low and sent the husband out to pick up a roll. It was the worst time I ever had sealing a package. I told him that he is only to buy Scotch brand, or better yet, I will never run out of it. Time to Stockpile...:)

Would be a good product if it worked

I bought this tape to secure typical brown moving boxes. The tape fails miserably and does not stick. I've gone through several roles, and always come back to boxes with the tape hanging off, after coming loose because it does not stick. This answers the question why, if you receive a box by mail, it is encased I'm the tape. It's an attempt to secure the package. I'm sure that sales are,high because you have to use so much for every box. It's a junky product.

Does not stick

I purchased an eight pack of scotch premium performance packaging tape a month ago. Needless to say I did not think there would be a problem. Now I can't find my receipt. I loaded a tape gun finding the tape does not stick. I tried another roll and the same thing occurred. I am very disappointed. I thought I was buying the best packaging tape for the job. I now have 8 rolls of nonstick tape. This was money down the drain!
