Excellent product at a competitive price for sealing off surfaces from paint overspray, dust & dirt.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When painting, this is our preferred product used to mask off surfaces that we want to protect from the paint that is being applied. It is competitively priced and we have never had a problem with it damaging or leaving residue on the surface we are trying to protect. We also use the wider 3" rolls to seal off areas that we do not want dust & dirt to penetrate, including door openings that have been covered with visqueen, and hardwood floors that have been covered with a heavy gauge paper. This tape keeps the dust & dirt from getting under the paper where it can scratch the finish on the floor. In this application however, the tape should be replaced every couple weeks to avoid the potential of tape residue sticking to the hardwood with heavy traffic. If any residue is left on the hardwood, it is relatively easy to get off using soapy water and a damp cloth.

I ran out of my Scotch Blue painters tape so I used a roll of another brand that I found in my garage. Big Mistake! Before I even started to paint, the tape was falling off the wood. So frustrating!!

Really is an excellent product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this item in the mail to review. I got to use it on a painting project I had ongoing. The application for my purpose really did not work because the 24" of plastic got in the way of what I was painting and also I was outside and the wind kept blowing the plastic on my painting surface. I can see this project really being effective painting the molding on a ceiling protecting the wall or the molding on the floor protecting the carpet so I really believe for those purposes inside it is an excellent product.

This is the best product for painting it always comes off with no problem and it also it is great for all differant projects that you need to have t paint and make any kind of designs that you like with always knowing you will have the nicest results! I would never use anything else

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The original painters tape was significantly better than masking tape. There was a tendency for the blue painters tape to allow paint to seep under the edges if it wasn't properly applied.
The newer types of Scotch Painters Tape are noticeably better but, in my opinion, Scotch has never put out a truly bad product.

As an avid DIYer, I am picking up a paint brush and transforming rooms and home decor almost every day, which means I use A LOT of tape. I always have multi-surface tape on hand for my spontaneous projects because it helps me get a super straight line and I just love the results. Thanks ScotchBlue for making my life easier :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love your ScotchBlue™ Original Painters Tape. I am a Pre-K teacher and use if frequently in my classroom. It has come in handy for taping off "roads" for the children to drive their cars on, creating shapes on tables & floors to sort or play games in, creating designs on tables for the children to do etching on paper....the uses are endless! Thank you for this product and I look forward to seeing the many more uses in the future!
