Scotchblue sucks

I purchased this tape and it not pull clean like they advertised! it ruined some spots on my doors and now I have to repaint! I worked so hard taping up the areas of the door I wanted to paint in different colors. I worked very hard for this and it was ruined!

Do not use to protect painted areas!

Horrible results when removing 2090 tape

I put this tape down over a quality primer and premium paint. It's horrible when removed. My work has doubled. I must go back and repaint.

ScotchBlue Painters Tape Takes Out Existing Ceiling Paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very disappointed with 3M's Scotchblue painter's tape. After only 3 days, we carefully removed the tape to find that it had taken out a strip of our existing ceiling paint (which we did not have plans to repaint). Our ceiling paint had been done just the year before. We purchased the best tape (we thought) so that we would not have any issues. Instead, we ended up with a headache and another paint job to do. I do hope that 3M will take responsibility and compensate us in some way.

Disappointed in product

I painted my walls 1 week ago. Today I applied scotch blue painter's tape for multi-surfaces around the trim so as not to get the trim color on the walls. When I removed the painter's tape, specks of the wall paint came off also. Now I'm going to have to touch up the walls.

It works best on smooth textures and is not recommended for heavy textures. Remember also to wait 24 hours before using on any freshly painted surface. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Scotch Blue for over 15 years....I am an amateur painter and it is my GO TO tape for edging, avoiding mistakes/overruns....it is simply amazing! I recently painted my small bathroom which had alot of corners, shower stall, sink, mirror, etc. - this blue tape made it all happen. LOVE IT!!!!!

Saves time and money, great quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fact ScotchBlue Painter't Tape is the best ever makes me super excited to be able to submit my Sweepstakes Entry and review! I have purchased and fixed up three repo homes and used this tape for painting my own home. One way I learned the quality of this tape is by accidentally purchasing another brand. The other brand was thinner and kept tearing while I was applying it. It was difficult to apply in straight lines and when I removed it it kept tearing into tiny pieces. Since then I know to stick with Scotch Blue for the best quality product because it's easier to use, saves time, and gives great results (doesn't leak paing like some other brand did). I even used this tape as a quick way to identify our luggage when traveling and it did not fall off during the trip.
I would recommend this to a friend!
