Gets the Job done

I ship a lot of product via US priority mail and UPS and this tape does fine. I've tried the heavier tape which works great but for the cost difference not feasible for me.

Rather good value but doesn't stand up to the comparable 3M brand. It works for my needs but if I was using it for something I needed to be sure held together I would spend the extra $$$ on 3M brand tapes.

Fine for everyday shipping

I have used this before and will again. For the money this is just fine for lightweight shipping. Would I trust to big boxes with heavy items? I don't know b/c that is not what I use it for but it has never broken on me. It is not as thick as packing tape but it does not claim to be. Can't be beat for the price/savings/value.

Good buy & perfomance best price point

I looked around and was horrified at having to pay $3 (or more) per roll for packing tape. I had been using some 3M / Scotch I had for years and finally that pile ran out. Wrapping packages for online auctions is the primary function in out house. I noticed it's not as thick or as sticky as the 3M/Scotch brand (which Staples sells too) but at far less that 1/2 the price per yard I could easily use twice as much and still save money. In fact I do not use more than I did as the 3M is actually overkill. This does fine and I found the double size rolls were the best price point value compared to every other choice in Staples - including all the other online sources I looked at. Even cheaper online sources ended up being more per roll than Staples once you factor in shpping costs. I estimate this as being about 3/4 as sticky as the 3M heavy duty tape (again fine for 99% of uses). If I had both types of tape I think I would use 20 rolls of this tape before I used one roll of the heavy duty 3M tape.

Decent tape for the cost.

This is my second time purchasing this tape as I'm having to pack up many boxes. The previous package of tape was okay and sometimes would become unstuck if you didn't take extra care to really smooth it to the box. This purchase is much better! The tape is heavier and sticks better. I don't know if a different run/lot or a different manufacturer but very pleased with this purchase. I used "ship to store" to save on shipping and found it very easy to use. Had no idea it was that easy so will be using that option again.

I provide packing services and was out so Staples had what I needed in a pinch. However it costs more than my regular supplier.
