We use the binder clips frequently and they typically wind up getting lost or given away. These are a good combination of price and quality.

Who isn't value oriented in this economy?! BUT it's not a good value if it isn't also a quality product--and why pay designer prices for something that is no better in function and doesn't bring a smile to my face? I organize by color so I had to consider how to make these all black clips work for me. Solution? color coding materials on-hand: file folder labels and dots post-it note or flag (sticky part) white paper and a marker. These can be placed on the clip's: "spine" (if stored a filing cabinet) "sides" (if you "flat-file" AKA piling) both - use a larger piece of color-coding material and wrap it from the front-side across the spine to the back-side. This works well for projects-in-progress that will go to longer-term storage in a file cabinet. Any of these color coding materials can be secured to the clip w/ packaging tape (trimmed to size after applying to the clip). The container that the clips come in stores well and is the right size to be put into regular service; as opposed to some that once they are in use or un-packed it is either a mystery to be solved or some kind of IQ test to be able to return the contents to its packaging for future use.
