I decided to purchase the Staples brand rather than Scotch/3-M for two reasons. One was that Staples bundle which was identical to the Scotch bundle was $5 cheaper. The other reason was that I respect the Staples brand and felt it would be the same quality as Scotch. I was WRONG!!!!!!!!!! The Staples tape was constantly making trouble coming out of the dispenser/tape gun causing myself and my family a horrid day of frustration as we attempted to empty out my parent's house for sale. I purchased the tape-gun when I moved 2-years ago but bought Scotch brand packing tape. Indeed I guess I should have done that this time. I will NOT be purchasing this product again regardless of the lower price!!!!!!!!

As good as the "name brand"

Why pay premium prices for tape which will be used mostly for shipping packages? This tape does the job and costs much less than the "name brand" tape. It is clear; so it can be used to protect address labels etc. It's strong and sticks well.

This tape really was not "heavy duty".

Wish this tape was the quality of the Scotch brand packing tape. It was very frustrating to try to wrap around boxes as it would stick to itself and seemed to stretch when I would try and cut it with the scissors. I always use the scotch brand tape and decided to give the double roll six pack a try of the staples brand. Oh well I guess I will not be buying the Staples brand of packaging tape again. Luckily it is for my business and I will just add the receipt to my list of business expenses and deductions.
