It's okay for a quick look, but stronger magnifying would be better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought 2. One for home one for my purse. I can read the tiny print now.

This magnifier is terrible. The bulge in the middle makes the words warped and hard to read.

There were several brands & styles of magnifying glasses. The 2 different types that I purchased are meeting my expectations for the different locations in which they are. I am pleased with them.

With my declining vision I use this multiple times a day. I like that it can be held or set on a table.
