Power for a Video Camera

I attached the charger to the bottom of my Steadicam (with Velcro), where it also serves as a balancing weight, and use it to power an Insta360 camera as a second camera. It allows a remarkable versatility!

Only small complaints
on May 11, 2026

I bought this charger to replace one from a different company that started to expand alarmingly. This one has worked very well, and I think I've had it for around a year and use it often. I only have a couple of small complaints. The biggest of those is that for the grey model (I'm not sure if it's the same for the others), the technical information on the side is printed in grey on the grey and very tiny, and it's almost impossible to read. It's especially frustrating, because the only times I'm likely to need to read any of that info are in situations like going through TSA, where I'm in a rush and already low on patience. The other objection I have is that it only has USB-C ports, no USB-A port. I recognize that things are going that direction, and it's great for my laptop and phone, but I have a bunch of little devices that have other types of charging cables, and having to carry one more adapter annoys me.

Mount Whitney Hike
on July 11, 2025

Purchased for my hike on Mount Whitney, I was without power for about 4-5 days camping to acclimate to the elevation and hiking. Purchased to charge my Garmin watch, iPhone and multiple headlamps and flashlights a long with my iPad. Worked great, only downfall is how heavy it was, but as a light pack hiker I adjusted a few things. after the hike I did not recharge for another 3-4 days after got home, as my daughter has softball. I am very impressed with this portable charger and would highly recommend.

Questionable capacity claims. . .
on December 31, 2024

I want to like this power bank because it seems like the company is making an effort to create more responsible products.I'm sorry to say it, but I don't think this is a 20,000mAh unit at all. It should be sold as 12,000mAh.According to the fine print on the unit itself, the battery inside the unit natively operates at 14. 4V w/ a capacity of 5,000mAh, which is roughly 72Wh of energy storage. In operation as a power bank it will have some inefficiencies as it converts 14. 4V to the desired voltage, and it gives another set of numbers for this (effectively the capacity available to your device). The rated output at 5V (what I'm always using to charge my phone) is listed as only 12Ah; in other words, the effective capacity for phone charging is only 12,000mAh.Am I making some mistake? Let's be generous and say 20,000mAh is meant to be understood as the size of the battery inside, and not the effective charge capacity when used as a power bank. Ok; and that 14. 4V x 5Ah figure actually gives us 72. 5Wh, not 72Wh, so that's a little more. And let's say my phone realistically charges at 4. 1V instead of the nominal 5V and they are fudging the calculation by using that number instead.Even with those allowances, the battery can only reasonably be called a maximum of 17,700mAh. And I'm inclined to say that the advertising actually implies that I should be able to charge a 5,000mAh battery 4 times. As another reviewer noticed, they only got 2. 4 charges . . . 12,000mAh.What gives? That's straight up false advertising, and for me it does more to destroy Nimble's credibility than the eco-conscious branding does to build it up.

A camping hiking must

This charger is powerful and can charge phone, garmin, lights, watch, headphones. . . all the essentials on trail. One of the few I've found that can work with small devices that trickle charge. It's recharge time is also good. Love it!

Horrible experience

Finicky and not actually 20,000mAh. Myriad issues with the device. I use it very infrequently and every time I do, a new issues arises. I tried to reach out to Nimble about it and their response was the equivalent of an indifferent email shrug and they recommended I buy another product. Really? Buy another product after a very negative experience? Spend your money on a different product, this one isn't worth it.

This barely charges my iPad once

I had purchased 2 of the smaller chargers which are good and I had high hopes for this one. Sadly it disappoints. I have only used it 3 times and all three times it does not bring my iPad to 100% charge. The charger itself is charged so that is not the issue. It is drained before my iPad is at 100%. It is too big to carry around for such a poor charge. Wish I could return it..
