Watch if fine but don't use their trade-in offer. I gave them a newer watch than they expected and they downgraded my value.

This was baught as a Christmas gift for my significant other. From what I have seen it looks like a really nice smart watch wit a lot of great features.
Quality build, looks good on the wrist. Bad battery life. Had a Fitbit versa that can go without charging for 3-4 days, it was a shock to see Samsung watch needed to be charged everyday. Some watch features like ECG and Blood pressure needs a Samsung phone and is not available for other Android phones. I don't understand this restriction. Why not open it up for all android phones?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Howdy Cltvel, Thanks for taking the available time out of your busy day to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy Watch5. We appreciate your candor as we make every effort to improve the design and functionality of our product line. Our goal is for our customers to feel like they are having the most ideal experiences while using our products. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, linked below. There are several reasons why your Galaxy Watch may be experiencing battery drain or have decreased battery life. For example, certain apps can increase battery consumption. Your Galaxy Watch5 and the Galaxy Watch4 models come with their own power saving mode. When enabled, this mode will limit several options in order to save battery life, such as Always On Display, Wi-Fi, and screen brightness. You can also turn on Watch only mode. Check out the articles I have linked below titled, "Reduced battery life on your Samsung smart watch" and "Keep your Samsung smart watch running in top shape" for some great tips on getting the most out of your Galaxy Watch5's battery. When connected with Non-Samsung mobile devices, some features created by each manufacturer may have limited support and some features, like Samsung Pay, are only available on Samsung smartphones. Please check out the article titled, "Samsung smart watch and phone compatibility" that I have also linked below for you to learn more details about this topic. Feel free to contact Samsung Support if you have any questions or if you would like any further assistance. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra
