I bought these because I was tired of my employees losing/breaking the plastic cutters that are out there. These are a good quality inexpensive option. They aren't as user friendly as the other types out there but with some guidance - they work just fine. There are times when you have to push a little harder to "close" the blade - and you have to be care what you are pushing on to do so. If you are pushing on a wooden table you risk scratching it - be careful. We have several stainless steel tables so we most often use the edge of those or even the floor. I was concerned that they would slide to the open position too easily but that wasn't the case. The sleeve is a tight enough fit - so that's not an issue.

Losing this is not expensive

My company uses a LOT of razorblade knives of varying sorts. My company also LOSES lots of razorblade knives. Rather than reprimand people for constantly misplacing expensive/fancy/elaborate razorblade knives I decided to buy many super-cheap razorblade knives and flood the company with them. People still lose many of these razorblade knives but now the employees are misplacing something that costs a few tens-of-cents rather than a few dollars. These knives are also small and light. I recommend these for anyone who must use many of these things.
