Wonderful Ice Chopper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used the Snow Joe ice chopper on my driveway a lot this winter. We’ve had a lot of thaw and freezes and this has become a very handy tool. It does a great job of getting under the ice to break it loose from the concrete. It claims that the spring is supposed to make the work easier on your shoulder, but I’ve found it to be more helpful for my wrist. I wish the ice chopper was just a little bit longer so I don’t have to hunch over when using it. I’m 6 feet tall.

by and large it lived up to it's claims about shock absorption, I think I expected a little more cushion, but it is distinctly better than without any.
It seems very sturdy, well built, good materials. Seems like it will last a long time in New England conditions. I've only had chances to use it a few times so far.

I like this tool, it does absorb some of the shock associated with chipping ice. I feel it could be somewhat improved by using a much heavier blade. The current blade is a little too lite duty.
