Griddle gets way too hot.

Temperatures are all hotter than control indicates. I have burned a few things. Other than that, it is a nice griddle and I like the size. Perhaps a new control would help.

Just opened this and I am not sure about the surface. I had a Presto griddle that had a hex pattern on its supposedly non-stick surface and it was impossible to clean. This looks like it has a textured surface as well, so I remain skeptical.

Not evenly heated/cook

It's easy to use and clean. The only issue I have is.. it's doesn't heat evenly. Whenever I make pancakes... it doesn't cook/make my pancakes even. Some areas be lighter or darker on the same pancake. Never even.
