Indoor smokeless grill light?

I just bought this product and confused why the light keeps going on and off. It goes off while I’m trying to cook then flashes back on when I wiggle it. Then I left it alone and it turns off and on intermittently. Not sure if this is normal????

I love this indoor grill! For starters it’s huge, way bigger than the last one I had. Which makes cooking everything at once much easier and quicker. The grill heats up quickly and distributes the heat well, cooks food in no time and tastes delicious! The only negative I have about it is I wish it came with a lid or cover but it’s still great product
