Tank not easy to clean

I love everything about the slush machine except there is a lip in the plastic tank where juice has gotten in and mold has grown. We cannot get it out at all. This part of the design should be sealed.

I am obsessed with the Chefman Slush-Ease (RJ62-20A-BLK). Unlike other machines that just crush ice and water down your drink, this actually freezes the liquid directly. The result is that perfect, silky-smooth consistency you usually only find at movie theaters.
