I am generally a fan of HP products and have had several including a number of laptops, printers and accessories. All have been well made and look good in addition to doing what they are actually designed for. My new Envy 17-da0010na is no exception to that generality and it was up and running only minutes after unpacking. One downside which made itself felt recently is that there is no SD card slot. That is my fault for not checking my shortlist comparison chart closely enough. I thought that I was getting the Envy 17 which did have one. It's no big deal as I can always use the one on my other Envy and then copy to an external hard drive for transfer to this one. Of course it is Windows 11 which you either like or loathe and I fall into the latter camp. I am not to keen on the mains power supply. I do like the fact that it is a C type USB connector into the laptop, but the cable is not very flexible and gets in the way of feet when sitting on a sofa using the computer. The unit is super fast and has lots of data storage.

I was pleased with the clear touch screen (previous model did not have this ) it made navigating the computer a breeze. I use it mainly for correspondence, creating newsletters, photo editing and accounts. The keys are responsive, no more missing letters because if insufficient pressure on some of the keys, which was an annoying problem with my old one.

I have now been using this computer for over a month and am very pleased with the various functions. Set-up was very easy, performance is excellent, everything I need is there. There is only one slight downside: the case is very easily marked!
