Great controls, look and capacity

Controls are simple, as not a fan for everything digital. Just enough standard buttons for what we use most.
Design and look are outstanding. Stainless fits in with other appliances, and the round handle is a nice touch.

Poorly design due to not having back lit panel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THE CONTROL PANEL IS NOT BACK LIT, AND IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO USE AT NIGHT. YOU HAVE TO TURN ON THE KITCHEN LIGHTS, AND WHEN YOU USE THE SURFACE LIGHT, IT IS NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH TO SEE THE CONTROL PANEL. VERY POOR DESIGN!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my microwave just have less than a month, large capacity , adjustable power control and also some preset controls which is great, ventilation works great , husband and son installed with no problem. Looks beautiful

Cafe, should have thought twice before buying it!

My wife and I bought this new Cafe to replace one that we bought in 2020 that had numerous issues through-out 2025. We thought we would have better luck with a new one thinking GE would had learned from their old ones what consumers really wanted. Besides that, we have a cut-out back splash behind our stove that we wanted it to fit perfectly into the old one's spot. We were told by several salesmen the new Cafe should fit perfectly. Boy, were they ever wrong!!! This new 2026 Cafe is one inch shorter. That means I now have to hire a carpenter to cut a one inch piece of wood, attach it and paint it to conceal that gapping hole above the this microwave. GRR!!! We also thought we could use some of the old parts for back-up like the glass turn table, rollers underneath it and etc..Nope!!! All of their dimensions have been changed in the new Cafe by a mear thousand's of an inch. So nothing could be used from our old Cafe. Makes one think, "Not by accident". One of the first things my wife noted with the New 2026 Cafe is the panel is not back lit at all. It is completely dark except for the time. The panel is not "User Friendly"! One has to press hard to make any kind of entry. My wife immediately felt that instead of making "Cafe" better, GE has made it Cheaper and Increased the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use but very loud

Nice looking but some things I wish were better

Like our other Cafe appliance it looks great and functions well. It seems louder than our old one and the single bulb light over the stove is lame. There was plenty of room for two bulbs but for some reason they designed it with just one weak bulb. You think an expensive model like this one would not have skimped on this feature. Otherwise it’s a nice microwave.
I would recommend this to a friend!
