Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pleasantly surprised with this vacuum. First of all, I have a heavy duty garden vacuum and shredder (both run on gas). But they are starting to feel too heavy and hard to start. So for smaller jobs and day to day maintenance I wanted something lighter and easy to use. Was torn between cordless and corded. Got cordless and boy, am I happy.
This vacuum is light, maneuvers easily, starts well and works like a champ. Upon arrival assembly came down to just screwing the wheels on. By the way, there are two positions for the wheels and I really wish you could change them with a lever. As it is now, you have to unscrew them to lower the vac. Not a major issue, just an annoyance, but I can live with this.
The vac is more powerful than I anticipated and the charge lasts longer than I thought it would. I vacuumed for over half an hour (did everything that needed doing) and it still was running well; so I am not exactly sure how long it will work, but seems sufficient for us.
The only thing I do not like all that much is the release on the bag. Feels clunky and I think it might break first. It is possible to empty the bag without taking it off the vacuum and I think this is what I will do.
The leaf mulch produced is not uniform, but of very decent quality, so I am happy about it.

We have A LOT of groundcovers and it is always a challenge to clear out tree leaves from them. Even gentle raking damages the plants. Well, this thing works extremely well! Picks up leaves and twigs, does no damage whatsoever. For me, it is worth getting it for this task alone.
I tried it on concrete walkways, on lawn and over groundcovers. Works very well on all three surfaces. On concrete it is best to either put the wheels on the low setting or frequently use turbo button.
All in all, like this gadget very much. It is by no means heavy duty, so if you need to do a lot of clearing and shredding, this one is not for you. However, if you have an established garden and are looking for day to day maintenance - this will do great. I am also looking forward to using it for autumn clean-up, I think it will be wonderful!
One of the biggest pluses for me is that you do not need to pour in gas, there are no extension cords to run, no hassle at all! Just take it (and it is wonderfully light) and start cleaning. Simply wonderful!

Compact solution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We liked this product and its overall fit print is good for limited garage space with all your other outdoor tools. We like this product but felt we still had to finish the yard by hand with a normal rake the leaves.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this mulcher! It also has a vacuum so it literally sucks up the leaves before mulching them. For years I've been raking my entire yard and then bagging them. I no longer have to do that! This machine is saving me hours of work and back pain. It is very lightweight and easy to use. No assembly was needed and I love that it has an automatic shut off if the machine is lifted or tilted. The batteries were easy to charge and install also. The handle folds for easier storage and the machine itself is small. All around wonderful product!

Clean Sweep

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up is so easy! Pretty much all you have to do is pull this out of the box, unfold handle, charge batteries overnight and you are ready to go! Can not be used on grass but is ideal for my driveway, sidewalks & patio. It vacuums up the leaves (no branches or sticks) and mulches it and deposits into the attached bag. All I had to do was unzip the bag & empty!! I will be using the mulch to cover my garden beds for the winter and the mulch will break down into the soil nicely. It could use a wider area to vacuum but then it wouldn't store in the garage as nicely as it does.

Intriguing product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this deeper on my back deck after a bad storm left some leaves and debris just because I wanted to try it out. The suction was great and it did the job. I also used it to clean up some mulch on my sidewalk that our dog had kicked out. I’m anxious to see how it does when the leaves fall. I do wish the battery lasted longer than approximately 20 minutes. It also seemed as though the sweeper would shut off on uneven surfaces so I’m not sure it will work well in my yard.
Great for the outdoor rugs and patio though.

Not like the electric lawn vac

Will suction up larger leaves but doesn’t work near as well as the electric leaf/lawn vac which gets very close to the ground. You can’t get the suction area closer to the ground…if you try, it automatically shuts off. I’m pretty disappointed. I use the electric lawn vac on my artificial turf & it gets nearly everything except the seed pods that fall from the huge ficus trees.

Really mulches them up, best on flat ground

I have a hand held electric mulcher now but does not work very well, so I was SO excited to get this one. We have a LOT of leaves so raking is not an option and I like to use the mulched up leaves in my yard. The machine was easy to put together, no issues there. Batteries charged up fine and lasted quite a bit. Used it on a few places in my backyard. Worked great on flat ground. Did not do so well on bumpy ground or a hill which was sort of expected the way it is designed. It did not work on a pile of leaves, it was really designed to be used almost like a lawnmower. Which is fine, just something to keep in mind. It held quite a bit of leaves because it mulches them up so tiny, huge benefit compared to my other hand-held mulcher that I have to carry around with me. This machine had no issues picking up tiny sticks and mulch. I look forward to using it in my yard! Small enough to store anywhere. The fact it is battery powered is huge for me because it is troublesome to hook up a very long extension cord that just get caught up around our trees. And I do not like the gas powered ones, hate to breath those fumes. (I do that now with the lawnmower, trimmer and blower!) Great job Sun Joe.

Works but wish i could use it ON Grass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I really like this tool. For the positives, it helps clean my sidewalks and driveway of any grass trimmings. Using the first time is so easy! Just charge it overnight and you're good to go. It is super light, easy to maneuver, and is easy to start. The charge lasts a LONG time and I love the I no longer have to haul around the heavy gas version I used to have. Now for the negatives. It is disappointing that I cannot pass it over the grass to pick up sticks or stray debris. It will vacuums up the leaves but leaves behind twigs and sticks. It is nice that there are two wheel positions, but adjusting them is a hassle since you have to unscrew them and retighten them. Overall, I see myself continuing to use this, it will just be an adjustment from the more powerful gas version I used to use. EVEN STILL, it is definitely worth the loss of piwer to not feel sore after hauling around the heavier version.
