I would have liked to have a better explanation for the 3 different modes and when to use what mode. Range is fine, ease of setup is ok. Price/Value is good

So far this router is running flawless. Absolutely love it the security you get for free for the first year is let me know if things are connecting to it or if there's any issues. The app is great even the elderly can work this. Would I recommend this 100% I will

An excellent value and simple installation using the Nighthawk App on my iPhone. Immediately recognized and approved by my ISP Frontier FIOS modem with 1GB service speed. Actual internet test speeds are showing 950/945 MOL upload and download. I have 12 devices all online in my home. 4 are wired and the rest are WiFi. The router automatically assigns either the 2.5 or the 5.0 channel for wifi connection based on the device it is connecting. My newer devices like a new iPhone and newer Thinkpad laptop use the 5.0 channel. An older Hisense Smart TV and 3 other Roku devices all use the 2.5 channel. My main TV is a 4K Roku streaming device using the 2.5 channel. Noticeable improvement on watching all TVs now without any buffering or delay on spinning wheel/wait icons! I have a one story home with about 3400 sq ft. In my farthest bedroom from the router I have a Netgear extender that insures the signal strength to be adequate for use in that room. I also have a more powerful signal in my pool area and garage. As soon as I installed the new router, and was connected, I logged into the router and changed the wifi name and password to my previous WiFi name and password. I restarted the new router and all devices in my home automatically connected after the restart, including the Netgear Extender. I love the nighthawk app and I use the “connect from anywhere “ setting. I can see the router and all devices as well as my internet connection speed from anywhere I might be traveling. A handy feature especially during our hurricane season with power and ISP outages. Great investment.

Upgraded my 12-year-old Netgear router with the RAX30 and should have done this years ago. The speed difference is fantastic is all areas of my house. It's only been a week, but I would recommend this router.
